Summer STEAM Academy

LEGO Robotics Camp

in South East London

Join us for an exciting summer adventure where children explore science, technology, creativity and performance,

all through hands-on LEGO Robotics and STEM experiments.

Each day brings a new challenge — come for one, or experience the whole journey.

Designed for curious minds aged 6–11.

Every day, children will build, programme and experiment with LEGO® Education robotics kits as they tackle exciting STEM challenges inspired by the day's theme. Alongside robotics, some days will also include creative engineering projects, design challenges and stop-motion animation activities.

Week 1

Day 1 – Wednesday 22nd July

The Joy Machine – Bringing Creativity to Engineering and Innovation to Art

Can engineering create joy? On this exciting day, children will discover how inventors, artists and engineers use creativity to design interactive experiences that make people smile. Through hands-on LEGO building and coding challenges, children will create moving machines, kinetic art and playful inventions while exploring engineering design, problem-solving and creative thinking.

Day 2 - Thursday 23rd July

Imagineers – Creative Technology Studio

Step into the world of Imagineers – the creative engineers behind some of the world's most amazing attractions. Children will explore how storytelling, technology, robotics and design come together to create unforgettable experiences. Through LEGO robotics challenges, they will design, build and programme interactive attractions while learning about engineering, innovation and creative problem-solving.

Week 2

Day 3 - Monday 27th July

Young Architects and Interior Designers

Step into the world of architecture, engineering and design as you create your very own dream home from cardboard. Plan the layout, calculate the area of rooms and gardens, measure fences using perimeter, design furniture and decorate your spaces with colour and creativity.

Bring your house to life with simple electrical circuits to create working lights, then programme a LEGO robot artist to draw unique artwork for your walls. A perfect blend of maths, engineering, design, creativity and hands-on problem-solving.

Day 4 - Tuesday 28th July

Deep Sea Detectives – Ocean Explorers

Dive beneath the waves and uncover the mysteries of the deep ocean! Children will learn how scientists explore shipwrecks, map the ocean floor and study fascinating sea creatures using submarines, robots and sonar technology. Through LEGO robotics activities, they will build and programme their own ocean exploration vehicles while developing coding, engineering and scientific investigation skills.

Day 5 - Wednesday 29th July

Robotics and Artificial Intelligence

Discover how robots and artificial intelligence are changing the world around us. Children will explore how robots use sensors, data and simple AI systems to make decisions and interact with their environment. Through hands-on LEGO building and coding activities, they will create intelligent robotic systems while learning about programming, automation, problem-solving and the future of technology.

Day 6 - Thursday 30th July

Future City Builders – Cities of Zero Pollution (The Great Transport Challenge)

Can you design the transport system of the future? Children will become city engineers and explore how technology can help create cleaner, greener and more sustainable cities. Through LEGO robotics challenges, they will design and programme innovative transport solutions while learning about renewable energy, sustainable design, smart cities and the engineering behind modern transportation.

Day 7 - Friday 31st July

Meet the Women Who Changed the World

What do inventors, astronauts, athletes, artists and changemakers have in common? They are curious, determined and resilient. They ask questions, embrace challenges and keep going when things get difficult.

Join us for a day of inspiring stories, exciting robotics, creative arts and crafts, and hands-on science activities as we celebrate the remarkable women who helped shape our world. Discover how courage, creativity and perseverance can turn great ideas into extraordinary achievements – and how you can make a difference too.
