Engineering Minds is running every year the GreenSTEM Festival - Our Planet, an inspirational event funded in 2020 by the UK Science festival Network and ARM.

Through this event we aim to empower children and families from South- East London to understand how our actions impact on the future of Earth, how we can live more sustainably and environmentally responsible, and how Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths can help us to protect our Planet.

The Festival supports the UK Clean Growth Strategy , focusing on Improving Our Homes, Delivering Clean, Smart, Flexible Power and Enhancing the Benefits and Value of Our Natural Resources.

Children and families  experience hands-on activities that illustrate how engineering and science can safeguard our Earth, and will encourage them to think about how can they lower their carbon footprint.

We aim to offer children, families and schools from South-East London the opportunity to receive information and identify local organisations that can continue to offer Green STEM opportunities.

2020 - GreenSTEM Festival

The first edition of GreenSTEM Festival took place in February 2020, in partnership with University of Greenwich.

The event was funded by ARM, the leading technology provider of processor IP, and UK Science Festival Network.

Thank you for all your support!

Over 200 families have attended the event and enjoyed taking part in many exciting workshops.

Our  visitors' feedback convinced us to transform this into an annual event to inspire and empower South-East London communities to live more sustainably.

We hosted an exhibition for the First LEGO League, an International Robotic event organised in the UK by the Institution of Engineering and Technology.

Seven teams of talented young engineers met the assessors and presented their work - Boom Town was the perfect theme for 2020.

Engineering Minds' team wants to thank all our partners who helped us created an empowering event.
