MEET THE TEAM

LUDOVICA QUARANTA

LEGO Robotics & Graphic Design Tutor

I am a freelance graphic designer with a background in Fine Arts and a passion for photography.

I already have five years of working experience both as an in-house graphic designer in a new company specialized in fine art photography’s market, and as a freelance worker.

What I like most in my job is the development of corporate identities with their communication through traditional and digital channels for new entrepreneurs.

As a freelance, my most important project was the layout of a cooking book on saffron for a small publishing house based in Milan, a great opportunity to improve my editorial skills working alongside their team.

Complementary to my work I have knowledge of HTML, CSS and Wordpress CMS. I learnt fundamentals of User Interface design working in my free time with a young team of programmers in the development of two IOS applications on Latin and Ancient Greek education available on the App Store.

But how does it start?

My grandfather was an eclectic artist and art teacher so I always had a vocation for arts and crafts but my early education was focused on humanities so I studied Ancient Greek, Latin, literature and philosophy.

Later during my three years course in Visual Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts of Brera I discovered the power of Art as a way to express feelings and reflections on the world around myself and I had the chance to took part in several exhibitions and share my artworks, most of them installations.

After graduating with honours, I specialized in graphic design following a two-year professional course so my creativity would have been useful for the others.

Since I think study never ends I try to follow short courses and workshops, read books, go to art exhibitions etc. to keep updated my visual education and find inspiration. Travelling and shooting photographs suits well my thirst for discovering the world.

I have joined ENGINEERING MINDS because I really believe that art education matters and creative thinking compliment the technology and enhance it.

In the Digital Era we live in, it is more important than ever to let children express their creativity, so they’ll improve this natural form of communication without been afraid to make mistake and being themselves.

I’d like to help our little engineers develop a creative and critical thinking, an important skill for their future, in a playful and creative environment.
