Engineerign Minds' Bursary Policy
EngineeringMinds offers financial support through a Bursary Scheme to help the most vulnerable students to attend Lego Robotics Clubs.
At EngineeringMinds we believe that education should be accessible to all children and therefore a number of places in each club will be available to those that are currently living in less fortunate circumstances.
Details of the Bursary Scheme is provided below:
Eligibility Criteria:
Engineering Minds Bursary Fund is available to students between the age of 5 and 11 years of age before the start of the term they wish to enrol to. Students must reside in the same borough where the club takes place.
In addition, to continue to receive a bursary the student must satisfy the following conditions:
- The student must be punctual to all sessions.
- The students are expected to attend all sessions and must not have unauthorised and unexplained absence when they are expected to be present.
- You need to apply for authorised leave in advance before taking time off. Failure to apply for leave in advance and not attend for more than 3 times during a term will prevent the child to re-enrol in future sessions with Engineering Minds. We recognise that on certain occasions you may not be able to attend classes through circumstances that are beyond your control.
Who is eligible for the Bursary?
Parents of students under the below circumstances should show proof of the following (no document will be kept or photocopied):
- Single and with an income less than 30K annual income
- Receiving Income Support, or Universal Credit
- Receiving Disability Living Allowance or Personal Independence Payments
- Young carer for a parent or relative.
- Any other circumstance not listed above that might be considered eligible for the Bursary
