At Engineering Minds, we believe that maths is much more than getting the right answer. It is about thinking, exploring, explaining ideas, solving problems and learning to keep going when the answer is not immediately obvious.

That is why we are excited to partner with Octopup, a new approach to maths problem-solving that turns mathematical challenges into interactive adventures.

Octopup turns maths problems into visual, interactive challenges, helping children see what a word problem actually means. This makes maths feel less abstract, less intimidating and much easier to understand.

We also love the collaborative nature of the programme. Children work together, discuss ideas, explain their thinking and help each other solve problems.

Through the club, children will develop confidence in areas such as:

• number and calculation
• fractions
• multiplication and division
• measurement
• geometry and spatial reasoning
• patterns and relationships
• multi-step word problems
